Located in Costa Mesa, California, Segerstrom Center for the Arts has announced its 2022 Spring trip the light fantastic lineup that includes American Ballet Theatre Mixed Repertory Program, March 16-xix, which features a World Premiere by Alonzo King, Alexei Ratmansky's Bernstein in a Bubble, and Jessica Lang's ZigZag. Dancing with the Stars Live Tour 2022 appears on March 17; Highlighting Mexico's diverse folkloric trip the light fantastic toe styles and rich, colorful culture, Ballet Folklórico de México de Amália Hernandez performs on March 30; and closing the spring dance season, Under the Presidency of H.R.H., the Princess of Hanover Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo performs Jean-Christophe Maillot's Coppél-i.A.!, with original music and arrangement past Bertrand Maillot afterward Léo Delibes on Apr 15-17.

American Ballet Theatre and Les Ballets de Monte Carlo are performed in Segerstrom Hall; Dancing with the Stars Live Bout 2022 and are performed in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Tickets are on sale now.

ABT recently became the Official Dance Company of Segerstrom Centre for the Arts and brings to its audiences three stunning works that highlight the company'due south artistry and athleticism. These works bring to The Segerstrom Centre stage creations by three of todays most sort afterwards choreographers. Alonzo King premiering a work at the Segerstrom Eye created to a commissioned score by jazz pianist and composer Jason Moran. ABT will perform Jessica Lang's ZigZag that celebrates the legendary career of Tony Bennett, using both his songs and his visual artwork to highlight the accurate humanity of his vocal performances. And Alexei Ratmansky'south Bernstein in a Bubble inspired by the multifariousness, charm, and quintessentially American spirit of Leonard Bernstein's Divertimento.

I of America's longest running shows, Dancing with the Stars, returns to the Segerstrom Heart as Dancing with the Stars Live Bout 2022 . The programme volition include dancers from the iconic television series with an all-new show starring Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, Sasha Farber, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, and Britt Stewart. Also on the program are season xxx Mirrorball Champions, Iman Shumpert, Amanda Kloots, and Jimmy Allen. The evening will characteristic long-continuing dances like the Cha, Foxtrot, Salsa, Tango, and more than.

Founded in 1952 by dancer and choreographer Amalia Hernández, Ballet Folklórico de México de Amália Hernandez unites the festive music, swirling trip the light fantastic, and vibrant costumes of Mexican folklore from pre-Colombian civilizations through the modern era. Based in one of Mexico City's most historic venues, the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the visitor is comprised of 76 highly talented folk dancers and created over xl ballets.

Finishing out the 2022 Leap trip the light fantastic toe season is Les Ballets de Monte Carlo performingCoppél-i.A.! choreographed by renowned choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot. Maillot has taken i of the virtually famous ballets in the classical repertoire which debuted in the 19th Century by Saint-Leon and rockets it into the future! Maillot'southward new ballet signifies his return to life-size storytelling, "where trip the light fantastic combines with theatre and evolves into a new visual art that is neither classical nor contemporary.
